An intervention is an orchestrated attempt by family and friends to get a family member, friend, or loved one to seek help for an addiction or other similar problems. When one has tried everything possible to inspire or convince their loved one that they need help, but they will not admit into a program, an addiction intervention program is a successful tool in helping you help your loved one escape from the grips of denial, rationalization and projection.
By approaching them from a place of love and compassion, with help facilitated by a addiction interventionist, you will be helping them understand the problem that they have and that a treatment program is needed. Using a professional interventionist will not only ensure that you have taken the appropriate approach, but will also give you peace of mind knowing that you have expressed your love and concern in a professional, impacting, and very effective manner.
Addiction Intervention Process
An intervention is a very strategic process that must be facilitated and properly executed by an addiction intervention specialist to ensure desired results. In order to effectively perform a substance intervention, an intervention team will be established and then thoroughly prepared with the information required for attaining success. All parties involved will understand the purpose, process and techniques of the intervention.

My husband is addicted to oxy codine, fentanyl, hydro codine, and tramodol. Need help asap..
My father has been an alcoholic my entire life, but the past few years it has gone down hill because his ex wife took off with their son because of his alcoholic problem, and it has destroyed him on top of losing his father who had taken care of him, paid his bills, did everything for him passed away. I wake up every day in fear that I’m going to get a call that he passed away. We try and try to make him change, he drinks at least a bottle of cheap vodka a day, maybe more and he truly believes he has no issue and it has pushed away every body in his life, and I don’t know what to do and I’m so scared!! Please help.
my loved one has been an addict for about 5 years now. she uses heroin through IV in massive amounts and her body is all torn up…. about a year ago she switched from heroine to fentanyl… shes admitted to her addiction spiraling out of control and has tried to get off it…. when it comes to her withdrawls about 15 hours or so in she starts freaking out saying she wants to die.. iv walked in on her cutting her legs with a razor blade because she said it releaves some endorphins…i know she wants help because I can see it in her eyes… but she says suboxone doesn’t make it any easier and she can’t quite comfortably do it. we need help before one morning we wake up and she doesn’t please help us.

I am a 51 yr. Old widow who has been a functioning heroin addict for over 21 years now. I haven’t had a real job for nearly as long as my habit has been in my life. I prostituted myself in Tijuana because the rent, drugs, and overall cost of living is so very cheap. A gram of tar is only $500.pesos( which is about $20- $25. Dollars) the cheapest dope is a $25. Peso paper (about $1.dollar for what would cost $25
dollars in the states). I have one thing that keeps me stuck here. I have 8 chihuahuas. The mother and her children and grandchildren. She’s already 15yrs.old the vet said she should have been put to sleep 6 months ago. I couldn’t do it. She wasn’t sick or anything. She loves to play with me and her granddaughter. She acts like a puppy still. I promised my husband I would take care of these dogs until the day the pass on. And I have been; however, I do feel trapped because I have no one to help me with them so I can go and detox. I have only one person whom I even speak to sadly she is in the same boat as me but she would rob me in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose. So I’m stuck in a unwanted cycle of addiction and self hate. I hate I can’t get clean. I want that more than just about anything. But I won’t abandoned my chihuahuas. I’m the only family they have ever had. Change doesn’t go over well with these little dogs. They need consistency at all times to function normally. So if you have any ideas I’m all ears. I can cross the border. I have no warrants for my arrest. I have no cash and no insurance at this time. Nor do I know how to get either. Thanks for your time and hopefully your advice or options. Sincerely, Ms. Kellie M. Regan
