An intervention is an orchestrated attempt by family and friends to get a family member, friend, or loved one to seek help for an addiction or other similar problems. When one has tried everything possible to inspire or convince their loved one that they need help, but they will not admit into a program, an addiction intervention program is a successful tool in helping you help your loved one escape from the grips of denial, rationalization and projection.
By approaching them from a place of love and compassion, with help facilitated by a addiction interventionist, you will be helping them understand the problem that they have and that a treatment program is needed. Using a professional interventionist will not only ensure that you have taken the appropriate approach, but will also give you peace of mind knowing that you have expressed your love and concern in a professional, impacting, and very effective manner.
Addiction Intervention Process
An intervention is a very strategic process that must be facilitated and properly executed by an addiction intervention specialist to ensure desired results. In order to effectively perform a substance intervention, an intervention team will be established and then thoroughly prepared with the information required for attaining success. All parties involved will understand the purpose, process and techniques of the intervention.

My only birthed son is 44 now. I contacted your organization years ago about his addiction. He refused help and now he is worse than ever. I am afraid someone will find him, in his secluded tent, living in the woods. He functioned at jobs, since then, just barely holding jobs. 6 weeks ago, wrecked his car, company vehicle, lost his job, his room he was renting, and now is living in a tent in the rural area, around or near me. His mental state is not good, his physical self is detoriating. Since my previous communication, discovered he has hep c, untreated. No insurance. I felt this was the bottom of bottom. I am asking for help. Please let me know if there is anything you can to help me get him into a program. I feel he has jumped so far down the “rabbit hole”, he thinks there is no help. We have contacted all the State agencies and find little or nothing. The numbers we are given doesn’t have the funding or have been disconnected. We lost my oldest stepson July 2017 due to addiction. He committed suicide. I don’t feel I could live through another.i took him to local agencies, and got the same results. My son has no insurance. We live paycheck to paycheck and pray the LORD hears our prayers. I can’t sit by and do nothing. I would greatly welcome any assistance you may be able to provide. My family is open to an intervention. Thank you for being here. I do look forward to hearing from someone. Thank you, Rebecca kester
My best friend witnessed her husband of 8 years shoot himself in the head. She held him while he gasped for air until the paramedics arrived. He did not make it. She only had 4 weeks of school left to finish her nursing degree. About 6 months after he passed she began to use heroin. She has lost everything. She has been living on the streets and with random people. We recently just found out she is 7 months pregnant and still using. She needs an intervention. I don’t even know where to start. Any information would greatly help.
My best friend is additives to meth. I’ve tried and tried to help him. Even took him in for him to rob me. He once was the love of my life but he robbed me blind a week ago and I’ve had to press grand larceny charges. I’ve never called the law on anyone in my life and it’s killing me. But maybe him being locked up again will get him clean of this demon? He was such a beautiful guy before he meet meth a year ago. Now he may weight 130lbs. He’s pitfall looking. His body can’t go another year of this. He’s gonna die. I’ve never seen someone go down hill in a year like he has. He also just had a baby so now that baby is in this mess. I worry myself sick over this situation. His whole family has givin up on him. And now with these charges idk what else to do?
My baby brother is a addict. We grow up in North Palm Beach. Watched our father deal with his addiction of alcohol til I was 6 and he was 4. My mom worked alot and she met a guy who she thought was amazing. He beat my brother and did other things to me. I’ve dealt with everything my brother has not. At first his addiction was blues now he’s doing crack. I believe he does anything for these drugs. It’s not only him in the picture either. His fiance and him are both addicts and she uses their children against him. My brother looks like dealth. My nephews are both such amazing little guys and it kills me to know they have these people as their parents. My parents have tried everything to help and it’s never enough. He’s lost and she’s lost. Now the babies are gonna be lost

My son has had an addiction issue since he was a teen, hes now 38. He also has had three major back surgeries due to degenorative disk desease. This started the perscription use and abuse. In 2011 his wife left him having affairs with numurous men. After the divorce he got on meth and other drugs. I feel he has perminately dammaged his brain as he has been assessed with skitzofrenia, mania, adhd, bi-polar etc.
Due to his back surgery he has been able to get government assistant but within a week or so hes out of money. Hes homeless unless my wife brings him to our home. He has physically attacked me numirous times and verbally attacks us both. Im 60 years old and have the ability to say no but his mother cannot. He has all but divorced us due to having be made to deal with his lifestyle. The last time he attacked me was when again he was out of hand. It was obvious he was ready to hit someone. His mother had rented him a house and was going to take him there due to his anger, but it was not safe for her so i stepped in to do it so he would not hit her. Before i got out of the driveway he ask me if i was afraid of him. I told him no. About 1 mile down the road and started hitting and busting the front windshield with his fist. He then started hitting me while i was driving. Im a farmer and not weak so i knocked him out with one hit. I was hoping he would stay knocked out until i got him home but he didnt. When he woke up he had hit me again before i knew it. I started swirving to stop his blows until i could get stopped. Although im not weak in muscle i am weak in stamina due to having at that time only 10% heart function. I found myself in a full out brawl. I was out of breath and was at the back of the car looking for something to battle with. A long story short, he was arrested. We made him leave the house but only a few days later. My wife just cant get away and im usually blamed by all as the problem as i refuse to support him. My wife sneaks him things because he plays on her motherly love.
I dont know how to stop this viscous cucle and have another son that refuses to allow his children around him. I wait for a call that hes dead any day.

My daughter has been addicted to heroin and for some time now it’s been meth. She is 25, has 2 beautiful babies who live with her full time and it scares me. She was suppose to get help so I moved from another state to take care of her kids then she refused to go. I was there a month and it was the scariest situation I have ever been in. It was way worse for her children. Her boyfriend and her did meth everyday and I spent my time protecting her and her children from her boyfriend. She now after 2 months is so bad her body is rotting inside and out. She has no veins left and goes into psychosis. Im so scared. She really will not be living much longer. I don’t know how to help her anymore and those babies will grow up without a mom who loved them but just couldn’t show it.
